Kerri from BurlingtonEnrolling my German shorthaired pointer into agility has been the best decision we have made. Erin is a phenomenal teacher and really takes the time to teach the basics and has great patience with the dogs and owners. I look forward to our weekly classes and I’m sure my dog does as well. Erin makes the classes enjoyable while training our dogs and it’s a great way to burn their energy. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Blanche from TorontoWhen I decided to get back into agility, after a 20 year gap, I was primarily interested in finding someone who focused on fun and some skill building. I needed a trainer who was okay with the use of food as my pug has ZERO interest in working for toys or tugs. It was harder to find than I thought.
BUT, fortunately, we found Erin and Art of Dog. The training is excellent and her willingness to work with my ham handed handling and my dog’s somewhat quirky approach to life in general and agility in particular has been a major plus for us both. Erin runs a class that is fun and skill building without any pressure on either dog or owner. She offers humour and skill in equal measure and we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with her. |
Stephanie from BurlingtonMy German shepherd dog Lance and I have taken agility classes with Erin for 8-years. Thanks to Erin’s knowledge of dog behaviour, even special-needs dogs like mine can participate. In Lance's younger years, Erin made accommodations for his dog reactivity. Now that Lance is almost 13-years-old, the courses are adjusted so he can continue to safely have fun in his senior years. I credit agility with keeping his brain sharp (maybe too sharp). Erin’s students joke about her evil streak when she comes up with a particularly challenging drill or forbids us from using our arms and voice, but there’s always a lesson to be learned! Only positive training techniques are used, and Erin has a knack for bringing out the best in every dog. Erin knows her students (both human and canine) well, and adjusts her teaching to suit each individual’s learning style and personality. Lance would like to add that Erin is the best human ever. He loves her so much, that he cannot refrain from the occasional nose bop : ).
